You Can’t Always Get What You Want

You Can’t Always Get What You Want

Every year the IFA conducts an annual review of their clients’ pensions and investments. So, what is some of the data in this review and what is the value and importance?

Like any purchase we make on a service we all want to know we are getting value for money. Following a yearly flow of data anyone of us can see when things have been profitable or whether there have been losses. But what events occurred and what was the direct impact is not always evident.

One tool an IFA may well utilise to underpin the client’s knowledge is a portfolio composition. A breakdown of what the money is invested in. By seeing the individual make up of the portfolio, the costings of each element, a picture can be gained of what the portfolio is doing and also highlight whether it meets the needs of clients Attitude to Risk.

Some clients may find the wealth of data that their IFA sends as part of the review abit overwhelming. Its always best to ask anything you don’t understand, which is part of what you are paying for. When it comes to investments the Rolling Stones said it best “You Can’t Always Get What You Want…. You Get What You Need”

Trust your IFA to deliver a service that meets your needs, including the information you need to make informed decisions.
